If you’re searching for a good or service, you’re likely searching on Google. Getting your business listed on Google is an important step for marketing. If you aren’t there, you are missing out on potential clients.
So how are Google Business Profiles made? They do not appear automatically. To list your business, go to your Gmail account. From there, you should be able to find Google Business Profile within the Google apps. If that doesn’t work, you can also go to google.com/business/.
Once you’re there, you’ll be asked questions about your business – such as name, location, hours, and more. Some of these questions are optional, meaning you don’t have to provide information. However, the more information you include, the more convenient it is for customers. If someone is searching for something, they don’t want to go on a deepdive through your website or Facebook page to find an answer to their question. If you don’t have it on your Google Business Profile, potential customers could just scroll away.
Google will take a day or two to verify the information you provided. This ensures that profiles are only made for real businesses.
Once your business profile is approved, you will start to appear on search engines. Search engine optimization (SEO) is a great way to make your website rank higher in search results. At Fuhrman Creative, we’ve helped countless businesses expand their reach with SEO.
Another feature of Google Business Profile is making business posts that will appear alongside your information. Making posts tells Google that your business is active. You can read about more features on our blog.
