Why Your Website Needs a Service Page That Sells

Have you ever needed a service and decided to compare multiple companies before choosing one? What made you go with that specific company? A company’s service page is often the main selling point for potential customers. They visit your website to get a better understanding of the services you offer and what makes you stand out against competitors. If your service page is unclear and doesn’t provide a clear call-to-action, customers may choose to go elsewhere.

It Should Answer Key Customer Questions

When potential customers are scanning your service page, they should be able to find the answers to their questions. They are typically looking for what your company does if your services will benefit them, what makes you different, and what actions they should take next. If any of these are left unanswered, you may lose customers.

Use Clear, Benefit-Driven Language

To be able to have a service page that sells, the content on the page should not only state what you offer but also provide a solution to the problems that consumers are dealing with. Use words such as “saves time” to address how your services can make their lives easier.

Highlight Differentiators

Include a section on your service page with any relevant certifications, customer testimonials, and other information that helps you stand out. This helps build credibility and trust with customers as they browse your website.

Include Visuals and Design That Convert

If you want a service page that sells, the layout of your information should be easy to read and understand. If you have a single, lengthy paragraph, it is not visually appealing. Your service page should include bold headings, short descriptions of each service, and strong visuals to help guide the reader’s eyes. By doing so, the customer can have a better experience visiting your website and easily understand what you offer.

Showcase Social Proof

When potential customers are scanning your website, they often look for other people who have had good experiences working with you. Adding testimonials, case studies, or client logos can help boost your credibility. They can also help to demonstrate the impact you have had on past customers.

Include a Clear Call-To-Action

You should never assume that your website visitors know what to do when visiting your website. Including a clear call-to-action, such as “Request a Quote,” helps guide visitors on the following steps to take.

Optimize for SEO

A service page that sells should include strategic keywords built into your content to help your website appear in relevant search results. This helps improve your visibility and brings the right audience to your website.

Make it Mobile Friendly

With many consumers using their mobile devices to research products and services, your website must be optimized for mobile use. If people click on your website and words are cut off and the layout is scattered, they may look at another website.
